Claudine joined the Team at the New Zealand Eating Disorders Clinic in 2021. Since returning from the UK in 2014 Claudine has been working in an administrative capacity in various sectors of the Auckland District Health Board including at the Kari Centre for Child and Adolescent Mental Health. At Auckland Regional Public Health (ARPHS) she worked on the measles outbreak and the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. She then went on to work on the Emergency Response Team for Covid-19 at Middlemore Hospital.

Claudine is originally from the UK having been brought up in London. She has travelled extensively and lived in a number of different countries. She was raised in the rich culture of London and Europe and has a passion for all art forms and creative endeavours. She has worked in publishing as an editor in both London and in New Zealand.

Claudine set up her own art gallery in Auckland and went on to work at the Auckland Public Art Gallery for many years. However, she has always had a keen interest in holistic health and wellbeing and in psychology and philosophy.

In 2006 when she returned to London she turned to working in the NHS. She spent several years working at The Tavistock and Portman Foundation Trust for mental health and wellbeing, working with Child and Family Mental Health. This was a post she particularly loved and was to determine the change in course of her career from the arts to health.

Claudine is enthusiastic about meeting new people and hearing their story and supporting their endeavours. Her personal interests include her passion for the arts, especially literature, music and dance. She is also a keen practitioner of yoga and meditation and has a love of nature and the sea. She enjoys tramping, ocean swimming and sailing.
